Ken Edwards
MCM Founding President (2019 – 2020)

The Midwest Computer Museum (MCM) would like to thank founding President Ken Edwards for his leadership, vision, dedication and tireless work which brought our organization to life. With Ken’s leadership, the museum was formally organized in April of 2019 but his contributions began years earlier.

It was Ken’s vision to start MCM. Ken recruited the first board members, researched how to start a non profit and filed the necessary paperwork. Ken dedicated many hours to these tasks. He also has generously contributed financially and contributed by donating his large collection of vintage computer hardware and software. In fact, the vast majority of MCM’s collection has been donated by Ken, who worked to build this collection over many years.

Ken resigned his position as President in early 2020 as his life is taking him out of the United States for several years. The board of the Midwest Computer Museum would like to take this opportunity to recognize Ken’s immense contribution to the organization, the vintage computer hobby and the preservation of the history of computing.
